House in Bolivar Peninsula

Amazing Views, 4bd/2bth, Deck, Easy Walk to Beach

Entire home • 13 guests • 4 bedrooms • 6 beds • 2 bathrooms

Here is the fix for real life being loud. Wake up on Bolivar, Gulf right there. Coffee on the deck, breeze already on the clock. No schedule. The big decision is beach now or beach in five minutes. Then that sunset that makes everyone go quiet for a second. Cards, stories, sun-tired in the best way. Built to unplug you and plug you back into your people. Sleeping map, here is how it works. 4 bedrooms total, one is technically a loft. Bedroom 1: King bed. The big one. Bedroom 2: Queen bed plus a queen over queen bunk. Sleeps 3 groups right there. Bedroom 3: 2 Queen beds. Good for kids, cousins, friends who like space. Loft: Up above the kitchen, single twin bed. Cozy lookout spot, kids love it. The rest: Large living room with a dining table for the whole crew. Kitchen with a peninsula with seating, so you can hang and eat. Full kitchen with 2 fridges, which matters when you are feeding a beach house. Laundry room slash pantry. 2 full bathrooms. And a couple locked owner closets, that is just storage, everything else is yours. You get the run of the place. All rooms are yours. 4 bedrooms including the loft, living room, dining table, kitchen with the peninsula seating, both fridges, laundry room slash pantry, and both bathrooms. Outside, you get the large deck, the bottom patio, and the outdoor shower. Rinse off the beach, hang out, do the sunset thing. Only things that are off limits are the 2 locked owner closets and the garage. Those are just storage, nothing you need. Everything else is fair game. Easiest way to reach us is right here through the app messenger. I see those first and I am on call. After you book, you will also get dedicated phone numbers for our cleaning team, maintenance team, and general operations. Something needs towels, grill being stubborn, AC question, sand situation, message in the app or call the right team and they handle it way faster than I can from off site. Basically I am in your pocket, and backup is even closer. Bolivar Dunes is on the quieter, beachier end of Crystal Beach, right near Gilchrist. It is mostly beach houses, a mix of vacation rentals and full time residents, so you get that lived in, calm vibe instead of the busy strip. Streets are sand and shell, houses are up on pilings, big open lots, Gulf right there. You are beachfront or a very short walk to beachfront anywhere on this street. Morning you hear waves, not traffic. People are out walking dogs, fishing, riding golf carts, just doing the beach loop. You are still close to everything you need. The Big Store, Stingaree Restaurant, a couple bait shops, and gas are a few minutes back toward Crystal Beach. Galveston is a ferry ride away if you want town, but most people here come to not need town. Wildlife is a real thing here. Lots of birds, crabs at night, sometimes dolphins in the morning. The dunes are actual dunes, so you get that natural buffer and better views. It is Gilchrist, so yes, swampy marsh behind you, which means more bugs at dusk, but also means more stars and less light pollution. Bring bug spray and you get the good trade. Overall, if Crystal Beach is the main road, Bolivar Dunes Blvd is the quiet cul-de-sac where you actually go to relax. You will want a car. Everything on Bolivar is spread out on Highway 87, so car is easiest for groceries, food, and getting to and from the ferry. Most people also bring or rent a golf cart. It is the best way to do beach to house to beach, especially with kids and coolers. You can use golf carts on the neighborhood streets and on the beach, just stay off Highway 87. Bikes work too if you like sand in your shoes, but the sand is soft so fat tires are better. The Galveston ferry is free and is how most guests get here. It runs all day, but on weekends it can back up. Give yourself extra time. Once you are at the house, you do not really need to go anywhere. Beach is right there, deck is right there. If you do need something, Crystal Beach is 5 to 10 minutes back down 87. Parking at the house is under the home. Pull in slow and watch the pilings. Basically car to get here, golf cart to live here. A few real world notes so you know what to expect: After hours response can be limited, including for maintenance and for reaching me. We will get to you as fast as we can, but late night might be slower. House rules: No smoking inside. If smoking happens inside, a smoking fee up to $250 will be enforced. No parties or events beyond your booked guest count. If you park under the home, take extra precaution not to hit any of the pilings. Go slow. Please stay inside our property lines and do not block other homes, driveways, or cars getting in and out. This neighborhood has full time residents. Please be respectful of quiet hours, generally 10pm to 8am. Mosquitos and other insects are notoriously bad here. Gilchrist is part of a very swampy marsh area, so bugs are just part of the beach. We do regular treatment, but you should still expect them. Bring bug spray if you plan to be outside, especially at dusk. Early check in and late check out can usually be accommodated, but there is an extra fee for both. Message us ahead of time to check. If you leave something behind and want it shipped back, it is $50 plus the cost of shipping. The house is on pilings and on the beach, sand will happen. We provide basics, but bring any extra beach gear, coolers, or carts you want. If anything breaks or you see an issue, message us in the app right away so we can fix it and not charge you after. That is it. Respect the house, respect the neighbors, bring bug spray, and you will have a great stay.
