Welcome to Reel Sunshine: 4-bed, 2-bath, 2-story house engineered for beach time. Full kitchen, big dining table, space for the crew. 2-min walk to the beach (120 secs, I checked) and amazing views. Master suite has its own private deck for sunsets. Problem was how to do vacation right. Solved it. You get basically the whole house. It's a 2-story house, but only the master suite is upstairs. Smart layout, everyone else stays on one level. Downstairs: Bedroom 1: King bed. Bedroom 2: Two twin-over-twin bunks. Sleeps 4. Bedroom 3: 1 full bed + 1 twin-over-twin bunk. Sleeps 3. Bathroom 1: Full bath for the downstairs crew. Full kitchen + pantry: All yours. Oven, fridge, coffee maker, the works. 6-person dining table plus living space for the post-beach hang. Upstairs: Bedroom 4: The Master Suite: King bed, private ensuite bathroom, and its own private deck with those spectacular beach views. Outside: 2 decks with spectacular views and outdoor furniture. Morning coffee deck and sunset deck, you decide which is which. Heads up: There are a couple locked closets. That's just owner storage, nothing you need. Everything else is fair game. I won't be there in person. You get the whole place to yourselves, but I'm on call. Fastest way: message me right here in the app. I see those first. Sand in the shower, grill won't light, need extra towels, they solve that stuff way quicker than I can from off-site. Basically: I'm nearby in your pocket, and backup is even closer. Reel Sunshine sits on O'Neil Rd in Crystal Beach — that's mid-Bolivar Peninsula. To find it: ferry landing on Highway 87, go about 9.4 miles, 4 streets past Margaritaville, turn right toward the water. That's us. House on the left. Navigation: solved. This isn't a big resort strip. It's a quiet, residential street of colorful, elevated beach houses where everyone waves from their golf cart. Lot is listed as beach view / Gulf view — which checks out, because the beach is a 2-minute walk that way. Crystal Beach itself stretches about 7 miles down Highway 87 right in the middle of the peninsula. It's unincorporated, laid-back, and built for real beach days: you can drive on the beach, fish Rollover Pass, crab, hunt for shells, and be back for sunset on the deck. You've got gas stations, bait shops, beach bars, and little seafood joints within a few minutes drive, but you're not in the middle of traffic. It's the sweet spot — close enough to get a cold drink and a shrimp basket, far enough that at night you actually hear the waves. It's Texas beach town engineering at its finest. Primary transport: car. Crystal Beach is 7 miles of Highway 87 on Bolivar Peninsula. You want a car to get groceries, bait, shrimp baskets, and to get here from the Galveston ferry. Secondary, more fun transport: golf cart. You can rent them locally and yes, they're allowed on the beach here. That's the real unlock. Golf cart + beach + sunset = the preferred local operating system. House has parking for your car and the cart. Walk to the beach in 2 minutes, golf cart to everywhere else in 5. Problem: Texas is big. Solution: smaller vehicle that's way more fun * The primary booking guest must be at least 21 years old and remain at the property throughout the reservation. * Maximum occupancy is 12 people, including overnight guests and visitors. * Only registered guests are permitted. Any visitors must be disclosed and approved in advance. * No parties, events, or large gatherings. * Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please keep music, conversations, and outdoor activity at a respectful volume. * Pets are allowed with a $179 pet fee and must be disclosed before arrival. * Pets are not allowed on beds, sofas, or other furniture. * All dog waste must be picked up from the yard before checkout. Guests are responsible for pet-related damage or excessive cleaning. * No smoking or vaping inside the home. Evidence of smoking will result in a $250 fine. * Use designated parking areas only. Do not park or drive on neighboring property or landscaped areas. * The attic is strictly off-limits. No vacation has ever been improved by an unauthorized attic expedition. * Do not tamper with smoke detectors or other safety equipment. * Children must be supervised around stairs, decks, balconies, outdoor areas, and water. * Use the grill responsibly, never leave it unattended, and make sure it is completely turned off after use. * Do not move indoor furniture outside or rearrange large furniture. * Please place trash in the designated containers and follow the checkout instructions provided in the guest portal. * Only toilet paper may be flushed. Do not flush wipes, feminine products, paper towels, or other items—even if the packaging makes ambitious claims. * Report accidental damage, spills, or maintenance problems promptly so we can help. * The check-in form and rental agreement must be completed before arrival. * Early check-in and late checkout must be purchased through the guest portal and approved in advance. * Items left behind can be returned for a $50 handling fee plus the cost of shipping.
